What Is a Family Documentary?
~ Family Documentary ~
A Family Documentary is a memoir on video for the family, focusing on family stories and family history. Memories of people, places, and things are documented on video or film, often combining interviews with photographs, letters, maps, and other memorabilia. The final product is preserved as a digital video document, or DVD.

A few years back, only professional movie studios, world renowned film makers, and documentarians like Ken Burns, could really do justice to any kind of documentary production. Not only was the production process far bigger in scope than what any one individual could undertake single-handedly, the subject matter had to have wide-spread public appeal. After all, who would be interested in going to a theater, or watching a television mini-series, about the history of a family that lived down the street?
Today, there is a new breed of Family Documentary producer, one that specializes in working solely with individuals and families to capture and preserve stories and history, real stories of real people, so that they won’t be lost to future generations. This is Family Documentary, a video memoir for the family. It is a way to leave a legacy and give that truly special gift with totally unique appeal.
A Family Documentary can be created for whatever occasion and purpose a family has in mind. There is no one right way to capture and preserve the experiences and events of a lifetime. That is the unique appeal of a Family Documentary.

A Family Documentary is a modern day heirloom that will be treasured for generations to come.
